The original CSSPatio site which we are told was launched sometime back in 2008 on the lesser known Pligg CMS had for whatever reason lost momentum. We stepped in moving the site to wordpress and giving it a fresh makeover. The previous design was very involved and made viewing the sites submitted very confusing. We stripped everything away leaving a very simple but crisp interface. 5 star voting was trashed and a more simple “I Like This” click on the heart type voting mechanism was introduced.

The single page view shows each submission at full width with various pieces of metadata to help with filtering and searching. A quick project for us but one that we’re very satisfied with and another example showcasing the ease and benefits of moving to a wordpress powered platform.

Paradox WordPress theme

In our previous post we mentioned our redesign and relaunch of theme-time.com (the site we use to publish some of our free and premium wordpress themes). Well just last week we also added a new premium theme that we thought we’d talk about here. The goal was to develop a modern looking theme which could be used as a magazine blog and easily customised with it’s own admin control panel. This theme meets all of those needs and also allowed us to get our hands dirty with wordpress 3.0.

As you can imagine this theme is fully wordpress 3.0 compliant, comes with 4 child styles (red, blue, green and yellow), gravatars, threaded comments and much more. It also takes advantage of thumbnailing which was first released in 2.9. You can check out the demo of the Paradox theme here and a single domain license with lifetime updates is now only $19.99.

Adsense WordPress Theme

In passing we also released another theme which we’ve actually been using on many of our own sites and although not the prettiest has really good adsense conversions and takes advantage of all the usual features of wordpress 3.0 i.e. thumbnailing, widgets, changable background etc. We called it Fresh Breeze and available at just $9.99 per domain.

Free WordPress Themes

Theme-time.com is a site we took over back in 2007 and unfortunately became the extremely popular site we totally neglected. For 2010, we finally decided to give it a revamp and more importantly released two premium themes for it too. We’re also planning a bunch of free themes in the next few months and more importantly integrated our own script php digital cart with it too.

So there you have it! One fully redesigned site, 2 new premium themes to sell, and a full integration with our digital delivery software product phpdigitalcart. By the way in doing the digital cart integration we added some cool new features to the script too. So hopefully expect to see these rolled out in the official version in the coming months, hopefully we’ll get to include some new templates with the software too.
